MAKHACHKALA, August 14 (Itar-Tass) —— Four young men were found dead on the outskirts of Batashyurt in the Khasavyurt district of Dagestan on Sunday morning. They were shot in the head, a representative of the Dagestani department of the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass.
“The bodies were found on a forest meadow, 150 meters away from the village,” he said.
“The young men went on picnic and consumed alcohol on Saturday evening. Probably, followers of the Wahhabism radical trend of Islam did not like their picnic amid the Holy Month of Ramadan,” the source said.
The young men’s car was found on the murder scene. Their cell phones, money and personal belongings were also found there, which showed it was not a robbery. One of the dead men was a police officer. Forensic experts are examining the crime site.
