Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power station is still fraught with trouble like hydrogen blasts and radiation leaks, but the crisis at it is largely over.
The Russian Nuclear Energy Minister Sergei Kirienko told this to Russian television in an interview on Sunday. He also said that the Fukushima accident calls for tighter national and international regulation in the nuclear industry.
The Fukushima plant was built in the early 1970s in a location 250 kilometres north of Tokyo. A massive tsunami nine days ago knocked out four of the six reactors at it.
