Russian leading carmaker GAZ has made an offer to buy 25 percent in Belarusian auto company MAZ, MAZ General Director Alexander Borovsky said on Wednesday.
“There is an offer from GAZ Group for the purchase of 25 percent in MAZ,” Borovsky said at a news conference.
MAZ is also establishing a holding company with Russia’s largest truck maker KamAZ, Borovsky said, adding that the offers from GAZ and KamAZ were not mutually exclusive.
“If we were a bride, we could live with two grooms. All the same, no one will get a controling stake,” he said.
