News ) said Wednesday that it has appointed Jeffrey Drobick as President and Chief Executive Officer of its media unit, Geeknet Media.
Geeknet, in mid-March, announced the resignation of Scott Collison as president and CEO of the company’s Media business unit, effective March 21, 2011.
The company had also said that Ken Langone, executive chairman and CEO of Geeknet, will lead the Media business until a permanent replacement was found.
Drobick will join the Office of the CEO, which includes Geeknet’s Chief Financial Officer Kathryn McCarthy, newly appointed Chief Administrative Officer Carol DiBattiste, and President and CEO of ThinkGeek, Caroline Offutt.
He will report to Langone and will be based out of San Francisco, California.
