A 16-year-old in Russia’s far eastern region of Primorye survived a serious traffic accident only to be killed by another car steps away from the crash site, local media reported.
The unlucky girl and her 15-year-old male friend were passengers of a Toyota Crown whose driver lost control of it on a highway, sending it into the ditch, Vestiregion.ru said on Wednesday.
The duo survived unscathed and went to the road to flag another car and ask for help, the report said, without providing their names or specifying what happened to the driver.
But instead, they were hit by a vehicle that killed the girl and injured her companion, Vestigregion.ru said.
Police are on the lookout for the driver behind the hit-and-run, the report said.
