English model and actress Elizabeth Hurley arrived in Moscow to take part in breast cancer charity event. RT managed to catch up with the star.
The TSUM department store was blessed with a personal appearance by the British bombshell.
In her role as a global breast cancer awareness campaign ambassador, Hurley is now on tour to support an initiative by the Estee Lauder group.
Illuminating global landmarks is an annual campaign, and this year in Moscow it was the historic department store that shined bright pink, after Hurley pressed a button to light up its facade.
Dressed in pink for the occasion, the newly engaged actress seemed to be sparkling with happiness herself, as her fiancé, cricketer Shane Warne, was by her side in the Russian capital.
“Every year, for the last 11 years, we’ve been lighting global landmarks pink,” Hurley told RT. “We do it in the memory of all the ladies who’ve lost their lives to breast cancer. And we give hope to all the women who, we hope, will not lose their lives. It’s to remind the women the world over that they should go and check their breasts regularly.”
Meanwhile, Israeli model Bar Refaeli made an appearance at Moscow’s GUM department store by Red Square, much to the excitement of its shoppers.
The famous bikini-clad cover girl wore a sparkly dress on this visit.
More than a few daring Muscovites braved to pose with the supermodel, and got her autograph on the new Escada perfume.
Refaeli is the face of the new fragrance, and after her meeting with fans she attended a gala showcasing the Escada Resort 2012 collection.
“It’s a big honor to work for a company so iconic as Escada,” Refaeli told RT. “I love their fragrances and smells, and what they represent. I like everything!”
