Government Structure Unchanged to Keep Pace

The structure of Russia’s new government has remained virtually unchanged because otherwise the Cabinet of Ministers would have needed a long time to get down to business, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday.

“Any, even the most perfect structure that involves changes, needs a year to become functional,” he said.

“No government has that year – we have to keep on ticking, deal with current tasks and implement reforms that are overdue in the economic and social spheres,” Medvedev said.
