NOVOSIBIRSK, August 4 (Itar-Tass) —— The two-day grain forum Siberia 2011 is opening in Novosibirsk on Thursday.
As the forum organizing committee reported, leaders of federal and regional profile departments, agricultural and processing enterprises of the region, leading home and foreign agrarian experts, as well as importers of grain from the Middle East and South-East Asia will take part in it.
The forum participants will discuss prospects for production of grain in Siberia, development of the grain market’s logistics, interaction of producers and consumers of agricultural produce.
The National Union of Grain Producers (NUGP) will present here a draft plan-forecast of production of grain for this year. “The plan-forest formed with the aim of creating a system which will enable the agrarian food complex to get a guaranteed volume and assortment of grain and grain products for all categories of consumers. The application of this approach can considerably optimize sowing of grain crops already in 2012,” a NUGP representative said.
