The Arab countries of the Persian Gulf have urged the UN Security Council to ban flights over Libya, to prevent strikes by the Libyan Air Force at antigovernment demonstrators, the Gulf countries’ Foreign Ministers point out in a statement following their Abu Dhabi meeting.
