A cache with 450 kilograms of explosives was destroyed in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia, the National Antiterrorism Committee said on Wednesday.
Experts said the cache belonged to Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev, who was killed in 2006.
The cache contained ten 40-liter barrels with an explosive substance and two 30-kilogram containers with explosives fitted with metal accessories to inflict greater damage, the committee said.
It was found near the village of Ekazhevo in Ingushetia’s Nazran district.
