Indonesian Air Force Plane Crashes on Approach

An Indonesian Air Force Fokker F27 transport aircraft crashed among several houses while on approach to Halim Perdanaksuma Airport on Bali on Thursday, local media reported.

There is no information yet on casualties.

“At the moment we only know the names of the pilots, but the reason for the crash and information about passengers is not yet clear,” Indonesian armed forces spokesman Iskandar Sitompul told Detik.com news portal.

More than ten fire engines sped to the scene of the crash where a major fire broke out.
