A resident of the Tomsk region, West Siberia, who has previous convictions for sex related offences has been detained for committing sexual assault against an 11-year-old girl by having a cynical sex related correspondence on the Internet, the regional investigation department reported on Tuesday.
According to a preliminary investigation, a resident of Seversk corresponded with a minor girl via the Internet, offering her sexual relationship. In the correspondence he had committed actions aimed at forming an indecent behaviour affecting her psychologically.
The suspect has been arrested and will face charges, and may face 15 or 20 year, or a life sentence under the law. A criminal investigation is under way.
