“Investigative procedures concerning 12 people have been completed. The suspects’ defense team has started studying the case. Then the case will be transferred to the Prosecutor General’s Office for a decision on whether it should be sent to court,” Markin said
The suspects – two women and ten men – were apprehended over their role in the May 6 opposition rally in Bolotnaya Square that turned violent.
Over 400 people were arrested and scores injured when protesters briefly broke through police lines in a bid to take their protest to the Kremlin walls.
