Solving many important tasks in Russia is impossible without improving the investment climate, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Monday.
“This is a most important task even compared to the government’s priorities because many of them will be impossible if we fail to put the investment climate in due order,” the Russian president told the modernization committee.
At a meeting of the committee in Magnitogorsk on March 30, Medvedev declared that the investment climate had worsened in the country in 2010, citing corruption as one of the main reasons.
He also instructed the government to find independent replacements for state representatives on company boards by the middle of the year in a move to improve foreign investment.
