Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev begins on Wednesday his two-day official visit to Estonia, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.
President Nazarbayev is scheduled to meet with his Estonian counterpart Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and heads of major Estonian companies interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan.
“A number of bilateral intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements are expected to be signed during the visit as well as a number of commercial deals,” the ministry said in a statement.
Nazarbayev is also expected to discuss mutual cooperation in such sectors as transportation, transit, information technologies, agriculture and other.
Estonia is an important European political and economic partner for Kazakhstan. Last year the trade between the countries reached $74.5 million against $54.3 million in 2009.
