Kyrgyz Man Stabbed To Death In Moscow

BISHKEK/MOSCOW, — A Kyrgyz citizen has been stabbed to death in Moscow, RFE/RL’s Kyrgyz Service reports.

Almaz Abdisyaev, a lawyer at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Moscow, told RFE/RL that three workers at the Moscow Trade Center near Tikhoretsky Park got into a fight on May 29 and one of them, a Kyrgyz man, was stabbed and died before medical workers arrived.

Abdisyaev said the deceased man’s name and age were not immediately known.

The Kyrgyz Embassy has asked the police department in Moscow’s Lyublino district to conduct an investigation.

Abdisyaev said that after the probe and forensic tests, the body will be sent to Kyrgyzstan for burial.

There are tens of thousands of Kyrgyz citizens working in Russia.

Hundreds of workers from Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries have been killed and injured in racial attacks in recent years.
