Live broadcast from the MAKS 2011 International Aviation and Space Show will run on en.rian.ru at 11 a.m. Moscow time on August 19, 20 and 21.
The air show opened Tuesday and has a large program including the first T-50 demonstration flight. The T-50 is the 5th generation fighter developed under the program PAK FA (Future Aviation System for Tactical Air Force) at the Sukhoi OKB.
More than 800 companies from 40 countries will participate in the air show this year. A record number of 600,000 visitors will have the opportunity to see performances by the aerobatics teams, and check out the machines on static display on the ground.
This year’s program traditionally includes performances by Russian aerobatic teams Strizhi and Russkiye Vityazi as well as pilots from the French, Italian and U.S. air forces
One of the most flamboyant participants of the show is the guest from Latvia – Baltic Bees aerobatic team. Painted like bees, the Latvian jets won the hearts of visitors of air shows from all over the world.
