EN.RIAN.RU broadcast live the first international forum on environmental citizen journalism EcoBlogy.
The agenda of the two-day event includes debates between prominent bloggers and journalists on who has the greater input into resolving environmental problems. There will be panel discussions between politicians, journalists and ecologists on climate change in the world and in the Internet.
The forum seeks to create an international network through which citizen journalists and professional journalists can interact and share their experiences on environmental issues. This project will highlight the coverage and solution of environmental problems in the Russian and English blogospheres.
Over 60 IFP fellows from Vietnam, India, China, Thailand, the Philippines, Mexico, Guatemala, South Africa and about a dozen Russian regions will take part in the forum.
The Ford Foundation’s International Fellowships Program (IFP) in Russia and RIA Novosti have joined with WWF Russia, the Russian Association of Environmental Journalists and the Russian branch of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) to organize the forum.
