A young man died early Friday morning in Moscow’s subway when he reportedly opened the door of a moving train inside the tunnel “to get some fresh air,” police said.
“According to eyewitnesses, the young man began feeling poorly inside the car. He opened the doors in order ‘to get some fresh air,’ and fell out of the carriage,” a police source said.
He added that the incident occurred on one of the last trains for the night at 1:00 a.m. Friday morning in the tunnel between Akademicheskaya and Profsoyuznaya stations.
Police believe the young man could have been intoxicated.
