A man hunting wild boars in central Russia has accidentally shot dead a police officer, investigators said.
“While hiding in the reeds, the suspect fired his shotgun at a running boar but missed it, instead hitting another hunter, a 34-year-old officer of a local police station,” regional invetsigators said in a press release.
The man could face up to two years in jail if convicted on negligent homicide charges.
