Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met on Wednesday with the Russian and French foreign and defense ministers.
The meeting took place in the Kremlin with members of the Russian-French Cooperation and Security Council.
Medvedev said this format of regular meetings has proven its viability, enabling Moscow and Paris to productively discuss “international interaction and some delicate security issues, which are essential for such large countries and close partners as Russia and France.”
A Kremlin source previously said the meeting would address the bilateral agenda, in particular, strategic security and Russian-French interaction in the framework of Russia-EU and Russia-NATO contacts.
