President Dmitry Medvedev said on Saturday he will announce soon “in a special format” whether he will stand for the Russia presidency a second time in the March 2012 elections.
“At the moment when I consider it correct to say directly, whether I will or not, I will go out and do it,” Medvedev said at the final session of the St Petersburg Economic Forum.
“When I said about this at the press conference, journalists were disappointed, they wanted me to do it quickly, right away in the hall, so it would be effective and look good. A decision of this type is properly made and thought out in a special way. I will tell you my decision. You can be sure of one thing – I won’t duck this, but I can’t do it in such a way that the Russian people and those interested in this hall are not informed.”
“There isn’t long to wait,” he added.-0-
