MOSCOW, July 29 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia strongly condemns any attempts to change the state system of the Republic of Guinea by force, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
The residence of the Guinea chief of state was put under gunfire on July 19. The authorities said it was a coup attempt.
“The investigation continues. About 40 servicemen and civilians have been detained,” the ministry said.
“Moscow strongly condemns any actions aimed to change the state system of the friendly country by force. We support the democratic transformations done by the Guinea administration, including the parliamentary election planned for late November,” the ministry said.
