Navigating through the maze of the capital’s metro may soon become easier, as the underground headquarters has decided to modernize its sign system.
Special monitors installed on each station will show passengers how busy the metro lines are at the moment.
In this way, people will know in advance where they are likely to spend more time underground because of some accident or technical failure.
Moscow expats and foreign tourists will be happy to know that now streets names will also appear on signs written in the Latin alphabet. The signs will also contain information about all major sites above ground.
Representatives of the Moscow metro admitted recently that navigation underground has become too hard even for some Muscovites.
