Mud streams hit western Afghanistan

Mud streams in Afghanistan’s western province of Herat have inflicted considerable damage on hundreds of dwellings and washed away thousands of hectares of fertile lands. According to the local disaster control agency, mud flows hit seven districts at a time on Friday night. Several houses were destroyed in the Shindand District, which sustained the most damage.
