A suicide bomber attacked a mosque in Indonesia, killing himself and wounding 28 people during Friday prayers.
Most of the wounded were police officers as the attack occurred at a mosque in a police compound in Cirebon, a major city in the West Java province.
The man was sitting amid worshippers when he detonated the bomb, Al Jazeera quoted police spokeswoman Agus Riyanto as saying.
The attack follows a recent spate of smaller bombings including in the capital Jakarta.
Indonesia has been hit by attacks linked to Islamist militants in recent years, the deadliest killing 202 people on the resort island of Bali in October 2002.
In July 2009, twin suicide attacks on two luxury Jakarta hotels killed nine people and injured scores more.
Last year, police uncovered a major militant training camp in the Aceh province.
