Abkhazian President Alexander Ankvab pronounced on Thursday he against a thought of building another highway from Russia to a former Georgian republic.
So far, a usually highway from Russia to Abkhazia runs by a Black Sea review city of Sochi. Authorities of a Karachai-Circassia Republic in Russia’s North Caucasus have due a blurb plan to revive trade around a Sukhumi Military Road, built in a 19th century.
“I conflict this plan since it envisages a construction of a highway around a Kodori Gorge, that is a inlet charge area,” Ankvab told reporters in a collateral Sukhumi.
He also pronounced a republic’s authorities would not sanction any plan to build yacht marinas on a republic’s Black Sea coast.
“Such sea seashore projects can means huge environmental harm. Yacht marinas are ruled out,” a boss said.
