Official wounded in assassination attempt in Russia's Dagestan


A deputy agricultural minister of the Russian republic of Dagestan was severely wounded in a suspected assassination attempt, local reports said on Wednesday.Citing a spokesman from the Russian Investigative Committee, the Interfax news agency said the minister, Bilal Omarov, was attacked with gun shots in the morning when he was walking out of the hallway of his apartment.The spokesman Alkhas Amirkhanov said Omarov “was wounded at the back of his head.”After the attack, Omarov was instantly hospitalized, while local investigators have started their works.
