One fireman smoke poisoned at Defense Ministry unit’s site in central Moscow.

MOSCOW, July 15 (Itar-Tass) —— A fire that broke out on 400 square meters at a warehouse of the former Academy of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection of the Russian Defense Ministry is confined, and city prosecutors are holding investigation, the Main Military Prosecutor’s Office told Itar-Tass.

“We will verify the compliance with fire safety rules,” the office said.

According to the preliminary information, two acetylene cylinders have exploded. “The warehouse did not store any chemicals, so the fire did not present a threat to local residents and the environment,” the office said.

One fireman was smoke poisoned and taken to the Sklifosofsky Emergency Institute, a city police source told Itar-Tass.
