One person was killed when an Antonov An-2 biplane carried out an emergency landing in the southern Siberian republic of Tuva on Monday, a local emergencies ministry spokesman said.
“According to first reports, one person was killed and three are in serious condition,” he said.
The survivors contacted rescuers via a satellite phone. An emergency helicopter was sent to the crash site, which is some 100-120 km away from the republic’s capital Kyzyl.
