MOSCOW, July 19 (Itar-Tass) —— There is one unemployed person per one available job in Russia, Health and Social Development Minister Tatiana Golikova told her German counterpart on the sidelines of the 13th round of the Russian-German interstate consultations chaired by President Dmitry Medvedev and Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel in Hanover.
“Russia and Germany were skeptical about employment programs in the beginning. Yet life showed that they were the most efficient anti-crisis measures on the labor market. The labor market tension ratio is one in Russia, which means there is one unemployed person per one available job,” she said.
Russia has a positive experience in the prevention of unemployment of young people, she said. “These are professional training courses, planning of labor resources and cooperation between educational establishments and employers,” she said.
Golikova proposed to form a working group for the employment problems of the younger generation at the G20 and the International Labor Organization.
The ministers also discussed healthcare cooperation. “We are closely cooperating with German companies, which are taking part in the construction of 14 federal high-technology medical centers in Russian regions,” Golikova said.
