Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin will lead Russia’s Olympic hockey charge in Sochi in 2014. The duo, who have been named NHL MVP in each of the last two seasons, will be counted on to help Russia rebound from a disappointing sixth place result in 2010.Russia has yet to win gold at the Olympics, coming on the heels of the Soviet Union/Unified Team, which won every Olympic title from 1964 through 1992 except for 1980.
