The Belarusian Association of Journalists said on Thursday at least 24 journalists were detained during rallies in Belarus on Wednesday.
The list of detainees published by the organization includes reporters from non-government newspapers, radio stations and news agencies.
At least 14 journalists were detained during protests in the capital, Minsk. Arrests were also made in the cities of Grodno, Novopolotsk, Baranovichi, Mogilyov and Bobruisk.
Belarus has seen unprecedented economic and political turmoil in recent months, as increasingly frequent protests against the 17-year reign of the authoritarian Lukashenko have combined with a 36% devaluation of the national currency.
