Moscow police detained over 50 football fans at a match between Spartak Moscow and Terek Grozny on Sunday, a spokeswoman for the Russian capital’s riot police (OMON) said.
“Police arrested more than 50 people for attempts to bring flares and other banned items to the stadium and for being drunk,” spokeswoman Zhanna Ozhimina said.
She said no serious incidents were registered during the match that ended in a 0-0 draw.
