Plane with 112 on board crashes in Congo

A plane with 112 on board crashed at the Kisangani airport in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo, world media reported.

Dozens of people are feared dead. Media reports put the number of those dead from 50 to 90, while the airline claims that 53 people have survived in the crash.

The plane was flying from the country’s capital of Kinshasa to the eastern cities of Kisangani and Goma, when it was hit by a storm.

Hewa Bora, regional commercial airline operating the plane, is banned from flying into European airspace due to safety concerns.
