MOSCOW, August 29 (Itar-Tass) — Prince Alexander Trubetskoy, a descendant of Russian immigrants, will be elected to the board of directors of Svyazinvest at its extraordinary meeting on September 22, according to a statement issued by Russia’s largest telecommunications holding on Monday.
The absentee voting meeting put nine persons, including the French citizen, Prince Alexander Trubetskoy, who co-chairs Trading France company, on the list of candidates for a new board of directors.
Svyazinvest spokesman Igor Pshenichnikov told Itar-Tass that Prince Trubetskoy “is a famous figure of the Russian Diaspora who made a significant contribution to the development of trade and economic relations between Russia and France and takes active efforts to boost cultural cooperation between the two countries.”
The spokesman noted that Prince Trubetskoy has broad ties in business circles of Europe and Russia. He was an active participant of large-scale international projects, including those in the telecommunications sector.
