Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has set the objective of upgrading the Trans-Siberian Railway Line and boosting the Baikal-Amur Railroad capacity in the next few years. Speaking during a Khabarovsk-held United Russia conference on developing the Russian Far East earlier today, he said that Russia was building the Baikal-Amur railway line for almost 40 years.
