Putin to Attend CIS, CSTO Summits in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin will on Tuesday attend an informal summit of CIS leaders and a summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Moscow, a Kremlin source said.

The CIS leaders will discuss economic integration and innovation cooperation, the source said.

The participants of the CSTO meeting, namely the presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, will talk military and technological cooperation and discuss the efforts to coordinate the foreign policy of the regional security organization’s member states.

The meetings will be Putin’s first multilateral international events since his May 7 inauguration as Russian president.
