MOSCOW, August 1 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will visit the all-Russian youth educational forum Seliger-2011 on Monday, the Russian governmental press service reported on Sunday.

The prime minister visited the Seliger forum in 2009 for the first time, the press service recalled. The agenda of Putin’s upcoming visit is to tour the camp and to speak with young people.

The forum organizers are planning to show to the prime minister the best projects, which the Seliger participants presented this year. Putin will study the projects for a better traffic and the efforts against the traffic jams, new energy-saving technologies, the counteraction against indecent retailers, who sell the products with the expired dates and the promotion of the healthy lifestyle.

Meanwhile, the prime minister is planning to communicate freely with more than 4,000 members of the Politics workshop. Putin is expected to dwell on various aspects of life in the country, including home policy.

Seliger is a youth educational forum, which is held on the Seliger Lake in the Tver Region near the town of Ostashkov (370 kilometers away from Moscow) since 2005. The Federal Agency for Youth Affairs organized the forum.

This educational mega-project brings together every year the leaders of youth public organizations and thousands of best Russian students, who are interested in politics, economy and innovations. Some 5,000 people met for the forum in 2005. At least 15,000 young and talented people, who already have their own projects, arrived on the Seliger Lake now.

Each participant should pass a tough competitive selection on his topic before the forum. The organizers of the Seliger workshops always select the best and most successfully hopefuls.

The Seliger-2011 forum had nine workshops, namely innovations and creativity, entrepreneurship, information flow (journalism), politics (public initiatives), technology of good (volunteering), ARTPARAD (creative art), the fitness shift “Run after Me”, “All are at Home” (the housing and utilities sector) and an international workshop.

Outstanding personalities traditionally visit the Seliger forum every year. For instance, representatives of executive and legislative authorities, regional chief executives, major businesspeople, the chiefs of mass media outlets, athletes, writers, painters and actors delivered speeches for the participants of various workshops at the forum this year.
