Rain Prompts Muscovite to Steal Car

MOSCOW, April 25 (RIA Novosti) – Police have detained a young man who allegedly stole a car in Moscow because he was tired of waiting for a bus in the rain, the Moscow branch of the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.

The man, an unemployed 19-year-old Muscovite, stole the car on Tuesday but lost control of it and crashed into a lamppost, the ministry branch said in a statement.

A criminal case has been opened against the man on charges of automobile theft. The charge carries a prison sentence of up to five years.
