Russia Approves Sale of 25% of Sovcomflot Shipping Co.

The Russian government has issued a resolution on the sale of 25 percent minus one share in the country’s largest shipping company Sovcomflot in 2012, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said on Thursday.

The form of the shipping company’s sale has yet to be specified, Shuvalov said in an interview with Prime news agency.

“We have yet to determine this,” he said.

In early June, Economic Development Minister Andrei Belousov said the government expected to get at least 25-27 billion rubles ($760-820 million) for the sale of 25 percent minus one share in Sovcomflot.
