Speaking at a joint press-conference with the Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev in Brussels the European Union’s first permanent president Herman van Rompuy congratulated Russia on its successful bid to host the 2018 World Cup . Mr. Medvedev and Mr. Rompuy summed up the results of the 26th Russia-EU summit which took place in Brussels on Tuesday.
