BALTIYSK (Kaliningrad Region), July 31 (Itar-Tass) — Russia expects its European partners to take a responsible position at the negotiations on establishing a visa-free regime, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said.
Kaliningrad Region governor Nikolai Tsukanov noted at a meeting with the president an agreement with Poland on border cooperation will be signed in the near future, however, Kaliningrad residents hope for the earliest introduction of a visa-free regime with EU countries.
“We all expect it as well and hope that our partners, I mean the countries of the European Union, will display the same sense of responsibility as we do,” Medvedev replied.
“The task has already been set, it is really solvable, and, frankly, its fulfillment at present depends not on us,” he added.
