Russia remains Europe’s most reliable partner on the commodity market. This opinion was voiced by Head of Germany’s Department of Development and Economy Viktor Elbling at a meeting of the Russian-German commodity forum in Omsk (southern Siberia). According to the politician, Berlin wants to “create a powerful joint economic complex, which would benefit both sides.”
As was reported by the German delegation, the past year witnessed an increased demand in high-technology commodities and rare metals. Therefore, Europe should cooperate with Russia in this field, as it boasts enormous reserves.
The Russian-German commodity forum takes place for the 4th time. It is attended by more than a hundred entrepreneurs, scientists and statesmen of both countries.
