Russia will continue cooperation with the UK in providing legal support for the interests of Russian companies listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday.
“Russian business has long come to favor the London trading floor for its operations because this is a well-prepared trading site (in the country) where there are deeply-rooted legal traditions, a well-tuned judicial system and where law firms operate well,” Medvedev told the international legal forum in St. Petersburg.
“Finally, the placement on the London bourse is quite an effective method of raising investment. I believe we’ll further cooperate in this sphere, despite some critical sentiment regarding some common problems,” the premier said.
