Russian companies and research institutes will take part in the BIO International Convention, due on June 27-30 in Washington.
The global biotechnology event, held annually by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) since 1993, is to gather at least 15,000 people from 65 countries.
“Representatives of Russian pharmaceutical companies have participated in the work of BIO for about 20 years,” Nikolai Savchuk, a board member of Russian pharmaceutical and biotech conglomerate ChemRar, told journalists ahead of the forum.
Representatives of Russia’s Industry and Trade, Economic Development and Education ministries, as well as the Rusnano state nanotech corporation and the Skolkovo research center are expected to attend the event.
