Russia Urges Restraint Over Adoptee Death

MOSCOW — The Kremlin has urged Russian officials to “temper emotions” over the January death in the U.S. state of Texas of 3-year-old Russian adoptee Max Shatto, who some officials had alleged earlier this week was murdered by his adoptive mother. The episode has cast a renewed focus on a major thorn in U.S.-Russian relations.
