Renowned Russian conductor Valery Gergiyev has been decorated with Gloria Artis Medal, the Polish Medal of Merits to Culture, ITAR-TASS reported Friday. Gergiyev is now in Warsaw, where he is taking part in the events on the closing of the Year of Chopin in Poland.
