Russia’s Vitaly Petrov finished third in the Formula One Australian Grand Prix race in Melbourne, becoming the first Russian to ever rise to this position.
Germany’s Sebastian Vettel racing for Red Bull came first, followed by McLaren’s UK pilot Luis Hamilton.
Petrov made his F1 debut with Lotus-Renault a year ago. He was only 13th last season.
