Russian President Dmitry Medvedev Votes…

MOSCOW, March 4 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who is about to leave the Russian top post, and presidential candidate and incumbent Prime Minister Vladimir Putin intend to vote at Russian presidential elections on Sunday.

Dmitry Medvedev with his wife Svetlana will arrive at the same polling station number 2634, where they voted for the last few years, Russian presidential spokesperson Natalia Timakova told Itar-Tass on Saturday. The polling station is situated at the school number 1118 in Dovzhenko Street in the Western Administrative District of Moscow.

The president traditionally visits a polling station early in the morning, shortly after its opening, in order not to create inconveniences for other voters. During the visit of the Russian president the polling station works as scheduled, the access to it is not restricted.

Vladimir Putin will also vote at the polling station number 2079 that he knows well, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed. The polling station is situated at one of the buildings of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Kosygin Street in the South-Western Administrative District.

On Friday, Medvedev and Putin have made special statements for the voters and urged all people with the right for suffrage to vote in the presidential elections.

“Trust and support of people are very important for the work of the president, I could make sure of this myself many times,” Medvedev said. “Only you, voters, can decide, who from the candidates deserved your vote,” he noted. “I am convinced that your choice will be right,” the president added. “Our future depends from each of you. Let’s come to the elections and vote!” he appealed.

Vladimir Putin also urged the voters to make a conscious choice. “At the elections on March 4 this will be you who will decide in which hands to pass the fate of Russia, the future of your children. It is high time for you to decide. The choice is yours,” he underlined.
